
Danza del Pochó
Come and experience one of the most deep-rooted traditions of Tabasco full of history and folklore, the “Danza del Pochó” that has been celebrated for more than 100 years in the municipality of Tenosique in the months of January and February and which represents one of the cultural heritages of Tabasco where good triumphs over evil. The characters in this dance are three, the lame, the tiger and the pochovera who walk through the streets of Tenosique until they reach the main square where they perform the dance. This ritual is presented every Sunday from January 20, San Sebastian Day, until Ash Wednesday as part of a celebration throughout the town.
